Quite Carr-ied Away was written by Pat Shaw (1917-1977) for Joan Carr Shimer, who was Associate Director of CDSS when Pat visited Pinewoods in 1974. Pat Shaw was born in Stratford-on-Avon, but spent most of his childhood in London where he started folk dancing at the age of six.
