| Dance type: unknown type This is a Beginner-Level Dance | This very old dance dates back at least 350 years, and follows the classic three part 'usa' format common in many of these 17th century dances: the dance comprises three parts - the first part starts with 'up a double', the second with 'siding', and the third with 'arming'. There are several versions of this dance, and we have chosen the version recorded by John Playford in 1650. |
