| Dance type: unknown type This is a Beginner-Level Dance | Charles Bolton wrote Mrs. Pomeroy's Pavane for his good friend and fellow dancer, Doris Pomeroy. When her husband passed away she decided to move from London to Somerset, to be nearer her daughter, and this dance was Charles' farewell gift to her. Charles says of Doris: " ...She was a lovely lady and I tried to write a stately dance for her with a hint of sadness in the tune to echo the circumstances of its composition..." Mrs. Pomeroy's Pavane appears in Charles Bolton's book 'More of the Same' . Details of his other books, music CD's and dance holidays are on his web site. |
