| Dance type: Four Couple Square This is a Beginner-Level Dance | (To the tune of Planxty Hewlett, By Turlough O'Carolan) The inspiration for this whimsical dance came from the Winnie the Pooh stories by A.A. Milne: The first figure represents Pooh and Piglet walking in the snow round the 100-acre wood, and treading in each others footsteps which they thought were made by a Woozle. The second figure represents the search for Small (a lost beetle later found on Pooh's back). The third figure represents Pooh, after having tea with Rabbit, having to be pulled out of the rabbit hole. The last figure represents Pooh being knighted by Christopher Robin at "an enchanted place" at the top of the forest. |
